- MARIA ELENA -

Maria Elena Nunez, AMFT

I enjoy working with children, teens, young adults, and adults, with a special interest in trauma, men’s issues, women’s issues, BIPOC, mood disorders and grief.

As a therapist my style is conversational, and collaborative. I believe in the value of compassion, genuineness, transparency, honesty and humor. My approach is tailored to meet each person where they are in their own healing journey. I provide a safe and fun space for children to identify, explore and process their emotions through the use of gentle directive approaches and non-directive play. I have experience in working with adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, life transitions, relational conflicts and trauma. I am especially sensitive to the experience of marginalized groups and am passionate about working with clients from diverse backgrounds, cultures and sexual orientations. My goal is to provide for you a safe, judgment-free space where you can feel free to share your stories, explore your feelings, and uncover your strengths as you work through your healing journey.

Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming and intimidating. However, it can also be a liberating experience. I look forward to accompanying you on this journey.
